Failing Updates

I have some updates that will not install. Because they are failing, they
block later updates. How can I bypass these updates to get the newer ones
installed? Why are they failing?

Are we supposed to ask someone from the spirit world to find out which
updates you're talking about, or what version of Windows you have?

Select, Start, Help and Support, Keep your Windows up- to-date with
Windows Update, Review your Update History. What is the Failure code.
Double click the small red icon in the Status column for the failed
update.
