failed upgrade-old excel data wont open

Tried to download the 2003 Office Professional XP upgrade
for an older version of office. Didn't work and nowwhen I
try to open any excel function, the installer begins, asks
for disks (which I don't have) cancels and blocks access
to all of my existing excell data and to my old excel
program.

Any help???

If you have XP you can restore to a previously stable time!

That may fix your problem?

From where did you try to download an upgrade to Excel?

AFAIK this cannot be done over the 'net.

You can order upgrade CD's from MS

Did you mean "install" the upgrade?
