I deleted ewf partition (by diskpart) and resealed the image. after reboot,
i try to disable ewf ram overlay and the system gave me the error:

failed setting protected volume configuration with error 87

ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable works well
ewfmgr c: -enable works well
ewfmgr c: -disable doesn't work

Should I worry about it?

No, it is expected behavior.

but.... am I doing a right procedure or not?

Sorry let me try again,

ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable I don't use it but you said that it is working,
so you can use it to disable EWF.

ewfmgr c: -disable need EWF partition to work. Since you can't change
registry values without committing the changes from RAM to disk.

Use ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable to disable EWF.

Best regards,
Slobodan
