System shows message at start up that an image transfer
failed to initialize on start up and says to restart up
computer to solve problem. This only results in receiving
the same message again.

Hi Irene,

What were you last doing with the system before shutting down?
Have you checked that no floppies or CD's were left in the drives?

got an idea of what app or file it might be trying to load/transfer?
if you boot to safe mode (F8 while booting), go to Start... Run....
type "msconfig" and click the "startup" tab. look through the entries
and uncheck the offender. then reboot. they can sometimes be cryptic,
though, so try one at a time and try to reboot so you can keep track
of what you've done and how it effects startup.

Which app is it?
