fades arent fading - where's the control?

Hi everyone. There's a javascript instruction called 'blendtrans' that
my IE6 isnt responding to. All the sites that demonstrate blendtrans,
for example...

....the fades don't fade on my IE6 browser. (they do on my laptop
browser) Can anyone tell me where the switch is to get full javascript
functionality? All the controls I found don't make the fades work.

Did you disable javascript? Tools, Internet Options.

Yes, all 3 settings in the Scripting category are enabled.

This might be a clue: I wrote a little javascript slideshow. When I
open the .htm file from my C: drive, my browser does the fades just
fine. But when I publish it to my web host, the same browser chokes on
the fades. Very frustrating.

Doggone that Gates, anyway...
