facing probs. to make application compatible with different Window

hi there

During my development i used .Net framework 1.1 with Office com component
9.0 (ie Word (.0 and Excel 9.0) object library and my application and my
development system has windows XP installed.

when i install my application on XP based system it's working fine but in
the case of professional 2000 or 98 ,I am not able to use Word and excel
facility of my application.

How can I sort out this issue

Its urgent.

Hello ,

install the same version of word and excel on these systems as you had on
the XP system and it should work as the complete office suite works through
automation ( COM ) the difference can only be in the interface ( different
versions of the product )

show a small example of something that does not work on win 2000 but does
work on win XP maybe it gives us a clue of what is going wrong ( it might be
something that has no connection with office automation at all)
