F1 key in VBE

I am new to powerpoint 2003 running on Windows XP. In 97 F1 would
bring up help passages about the function of the word that was at the
location of the cursor. The only way I can get help in VBE is click on
the dropdown help part of the menu and type in the word or phase to be
located in the help files. So far, I have not seen any setting options
to change to the more convenient method. I need help frequently so
this is a much missed feature.
The F1 key works in the slide view and in the older versions of Excel
and Word that are installed on the machine.
Thank you,
Eldon Lehman

Can't be fixed unless we can persuade MS to fix it, I'm afraid.

And before it gets even worse in the next version, please, please, PLEASE visit
this link and make your request to MS directly:

Contact Microsoft: Use MSWish to request features, report problems, etc.

Not the response that I was looking for, but thanks for showing that I
was not headed upstream without oars.

Will get it on cyber waves immediately. Such irony in that MS provided
much more assistance(in my opinion) than other software groups at the
earlier stages of technology development. This was during times of
strong flaming by many users. Surely they are not trending toward
making things less user friendly.

Not intentionally, but sometimes good intentions can lead in the wrong direction.
The Help system in Office 2003 is (IMO) an example.

That's why the Wish page is useful. Gives us a way of yelling "YO! Over HERE!" at 'em.
