My computer has obtained a nasty virus and is beyond
repair. I need to wipe the computer clean and reinstall,
I don't know how to do this. Is it in the operating
system or do I manualy go in the computer itself? If it
matters I have an older Gateway with pentium 2. I have a
windows 2000 pro CD. I have tried differn't anti virus
programs and they can't repair it.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the Win2K installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and/or format the system partition as
part of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
