Extremely slow response time in My Computer and Save-in and look-i

Since I have installed SP2 My Computer and some other random programs take a
few minutes just to open. Same problem occurs when I try to select a folder
for the Save-in and Look-in dialog boxes. Once they do open they work fine.
I have already run Adaware and virus scan software plus defragged and
restarted. None of this has helped.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
