For LP player you have to go thru a reciever or amp,one
can hook up directly to computer with adapters but the
LP player unlike other devices also carries a unique
power source with it that will damage the computer.
Going thru the reciever its fine,so is tape,try useing
headphone out to computer,download wmp9 series encoder
for recording.
