I recently reinstalled my operating system on my internal drive.
completely reformatted the drive and it wasn't a problem because al
my files were on an external Firewire drive. When I connect th
external drive now, it shows up in My Computer but says it needs t
be formatted when I double click it. I also tried taking the driv
out of the case and connecting it internally but I get the sam
results. The computer recognizes the model correctly too. I don
want to format it and lose my files. Any ideas? Thank
