external drive help needed please

hi guys,hope you can help

my hard drive failed so i have instaled a new one no worries
but my plug and play external drive cannot be found
i have tryed it firewire and usb the ports are working as i have trie
them with other devices please help yours desperatl

sounds like you need to reinstall the drive.

or hook up the power cord to external enclosure

Have you try the external drive with another PC?
It could be the box is dead and not the drive within!!
