I'm trying to create a running spreadsheet, updated
monthly, utilising data extracted from a database. As I
would like to keep historical data, I want the new data to
display in the column to the right of the previous months.
Is there a way I can do this.

Thx in advance

Hi there,

I'm not sure exactly how you're importing your data from the database into
Excel, but if you are copying and pasting it, you can select the cell to the
right of the previous month's column and then press 'Paste'.

Alternatively, if you're going Data-->Import External Data-->Import Data,
you have the option to select the cell where you'd like the data to import
into. In this case, as per the above, tell it to import it to the column to
the right of the previous month's column.

HTH,
katherine
