External 3.5 HD enclosure instal

Hi Guys,
yet another problem. I have bought a Vibe EN306-TV3.5 Multi media
player Dvix,Mp4,Avi , AV S-video USB external enclosure, and put in a
Samsung 400Gb HDD.

Ok, my problem is that my computer keeps saying that the device has
malfunctioned and window does not recognize it.

I am running Windows Xp SP2 with all latest updates.
Initially the computer did recognise it, but now it does not, it won't
show up in my computer.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem.

It probably HAS malfunctioned. Can you test it on another system? If
fails, try the hard drive directly connected to your system to see if it's
the drive or the enclosure.
