Extend.dat Error message

Why do I get an error message saying Outlook can't find the file extend.dat?
I have reloaded Office 2003 (Student Edition) and still get the error.

Have you searched your drive for that file? You will need to enable
searching within hidden folders to find it. If you do find it, delete or
rename it and Outlook should recreate it.
