Could u explain what u mean by Expresss Code
information?? What ever this is, it's not called Express
Code info.

Sorry to be so unclear, In the "My Computer" Properties
under the general tab in Windows XP professional there is
a button for "Support Information" there it gives you your
Asset Tag and Express service code information.

Some Windows XP machines have this button and others do
not?

This all depends on the computer maker. some include it
and some dont.

What is odd is every computer in this department is a Dell
Optiplex GX260, all using the same OS? some of them have
this feature and others do not? It's not a big deal, but
I am curious?

The screen you see when you press "Support Information" is an
image of the text file \windows\system32\oeminfo.ini.

Some vendors supply this file with their own text, others may
not. You can also create or modify it yourself (I have; mine has
my name on it). The system administrator in your company may have
put this on some machines and not others.
