exporting XML

I am exporting an access 2002 database to XML so that I can import it into
InDesign. Is there a way that I can make my currency field export including
the formatting eg. appear like £12.00 instead of 12?

I would be grateful for any help in this?

Consider using a query to return the data and formatting you wish, then
exporting that query('s) data.
