exporting to Word

I'm having the oddest problem. I have a number of student powerpoint
presentations that I'm exporting to Word as outlines. All was well until I
came across one that, for some reason, will only export the titles of each
slide. When exporting didn't work, I tried saving the file as rich-text, but
again, only the titles were saved to the new document.
I finally just copied and pasted, but I'd like to know what's going on here.
I wonder if it isn't some compatibility issue between 2003 and 2007. I
don't know that the student used 2007, but that's all I could come up with.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Are you sure the student used placeholders for the text on the slides? It
sounds to me like they used title placeholders, then text boxes for the
slide content. Only text in placeholders is exported to Word when you send
an outline.

If this is the case, you might try the VBA routine provided at this PPT FAQ
page to do the export of your outline:

(you want the second example)
