Exporting to Excel

I am exporting a database of Contacts from Access into Excel. In the process
of exporting, I loose the formatting around the phone numbers on some of the
records. When I look at the records in Access, they appear fine, have no
extra characters etc., Any suggestions?

When transfering data between Access and Excel, formatting is not included.
Any formatting you require will have to be done in Excel after the export.
