I cannot install the service pack SR-1a because it says I am missing a file
called DATA1.MSI.

I cannot export or import any file in Outlook because it says the same file
is missing.

When I search for the file on my pc it does not exist. I am using Outlook
2000 and Windows XP. Anyone have any ideas, this is frustrating.

It should be asking for your installation CD. If you put that CD in the
drive when it asks, does it find the file?

No it does not. The only disk I seem to have is the one dell sent with the
pc, it says it is only for reinstallation of Office. I assumed that was the
one. I searhced for that file on the disk and it wasn't there either.

Did you turn on searching hidden and system files in windows search? Also,
did you unhide the known file extensions in Windows Explorer?
