Exporting tables to FrontPage HTML

I am exporting an Excel database (name, address, phone) into HTML
through the "Save As HTML" option to bring into a FrontPage document.
However, FrontPage will not allow me to change the padding and border
on these cells once the table is brought in (either through opening the
exported page separately, or through cut and paste, or through
insert).

Does anyone familar with FrontPage AND Excel know of a way to add the
padding within Excel before export, or a way to maniuplate it once in
FrontPage while keeping the columns and rows intact?

Thanks!

JenniferLynnLee, using Excel 2003, I selected a range of cells and copied it
to the clipboard. Then I launched FrontPage 2003 and created a new, blank
page. I pasted the cells from Excel and I was able to manipulate them just
fine. That may be the way to go for you.

Of course, once the cells are saved as HTML, you can always bring up the
HTML view in FrontPage and, if you're familiar with HTML (which I'm not),
you can tweak the cells by tweaking the code.

You didn't say what version of FrontPage. If you have 2003, you might want
to check the authoring settings (Tools > Page Options > Authoring). I don't
know a lot about this, but I understand that some of these settings will
make certain features unavailable, and that may be why you cannot manipulate
the cells you imported.

Hope this helps.
