Exporting Contact Subfolders

I have Outlook 2003. I have set up 3 contact folders...Contacts....Master
Contacts.....Email Blast.

I am trying to import the contacts from the Email Blast folder into Constant
Contact but Outlook only recognizes the main Contact folder. How can I get
Outlook to recognize the Email Blast folder so I can select it to import?

Just a few points of clarification:

#1 - The import process to CC from Outlook is NOT an Outlook process - it is
an addin provided by CC - current version being QuickImport 2.0 which is
downloaded from the CC site and installed. Is this the version you are
using?

#2 - There are 4 ways you can import contacts via QuickImport - based on
your post, suspect the one you're having an issue with is "Selected
Folders" - you may alternatively also look at using "Selected contacts"

#3 - Regardless of what you are encountering - the following are the next
steps in getting a solution to the problem since it has absolutely nothing
to do with Outlook itself other than being the container for your contacts:

a) - Make sure you are using the latest version of CC QuickImport
b) - Click on the <Help> button within any of the CC QI screens
c) - Search for the question related to your problem (Help info is located
on CC site). There are explicit instructions there on what needs to be done
to ensure correct selection of contacts for "uploading" to CC.
d) - If you can't find the solution - you'll need to pose the question to
the CC Support staff since it is their product that is in control. CC folks
are an absolutely great bunch of people.

I had installed the latest version of QuickImport 2.0 and called CC support.
They told me they have been running into this problem and it is because
Outlook doesn't recognize the other folders as Contact folders, and so they
aren't available to select when I am trying to import via Selected Folders.
I will look on CC Help for solution and if I can't find I will go back to
their support group. Thanks.

Hmmm....................think the CC folks are great BUT in this case,
something doesn't make sense about it being "Outlook not recognizing other
folders".

First thing that CCQI does is build the folder tree when using the "Selected
Folder(s) option - it's not Outlook that does that and as far as Outlook not
recognizing contact folders in a tree -- ContactGenie Exporter, as a for
instance, builds a full tree of contact folders handling unlimited tiers
across unlimited infostores and all contact folders are recognized "as
contact folders" and all contacts in selected folders get exported so
certainly not an Outlook issue - leastwise not that we've ever run across.

However, if the primary objective is to get your info into CC versus dealing
with this specific problem........just export the info yourself from Outlook
into a CSV file and upload that into CC. You don't need QI to do that - can
be done directly from within your CC account.
