Exporting a Report to Excel

Hi All,
I hope I explain this weel enough.
I am very new to Access. I have a report that the client wants to analyze it
in Excel.
I thought it was Tools-Office Links-Analze in Excel, but it is only bringing
the headers and the detail area of the report and not the footer areas. The
footer areas are where all of the numbers are. Am I doing something wrong? It
works when I send it to Word. Can anyone help me with this? I am stomped,
along with two of my co-workers.

Thanks in advanced,
Kerrie

Access reports don't always transfer to Excel very well. The more identation
& formatting you have, the greater the chance of failure (Excel likes all
data lined up on the right margin...).

Some possible options:
1) Export the query your report is based on (Excel loves exported
queries). This may not be a good option if your report is doing a lot of
grouping, calculating, etc. to the raw data.
2) Try exporting the report to Word. If you get decent results, try
copying it from Word and pasting it into Excel. I don't know why this works
as often as it does, but since you say it went into Word OK, this may be
your best shot.

Using MS Automation, MS Access can open your client's work book then
populate the cells. MS Access can then save the workbook as or print
it or just bring it forward for you client to work with.

If you need help, contact Gene at www.customaccessllc.com. They charge
for their services but the money will be well spent.
