Export table to text file with numeric field to have leading zeroe

I need to satisfy the (crazy) requirement of a third party that a numeric
data field be transmitted with leading zeroes in the text file to which I
export. I realise it would be more logical to treat it as a string (of
numeric characters) but that's the cards I've been dealt. I note that in
Excel you can successfully export a numeric cell to a text file with leading
zeroes by setting up a custom format for the cell. Is there some way to do
that in Access?

Hi Don,

Create a query that formats the number with leading zero's and export that
instead of the table.
