Exponential values

I would like to create a worksheet working with Exponential Values
e.g. 1/2 +1/5 =2/5
So, I would like for the values to appear as I want them to be. I don't want
Excel to convert them e.g. 1/2 converted to 0.5

Please give me the guidelines on how to do this.

First, those are fractions, not exponential values

Second, you need only to format the cells to use a fraction format

Format->Cells->Number and then choose Fraction on the left & the appropriate
style on the right

1/2 does not have any other value and will not have any other value,
whether large or small!!!

If you divide "1" by "2", the answer will always be "0.5" which is a
constant.
