Hello,
I am having a very curious problem. Explore won't open in
my normal startup. Not just Internet Explorer, by
Explorer. I cannot open My Computer, Windows Explore or
INternet Explorer. But If I reboot in safe mode
everything's fine. What's going on and how can I fix it.
It seems like something is loading in my normal boot that
it doesn't like.

I tried to restore, but I had to clear my restore points
to fix another problem and I forgot to turn it back on, so
now I have no restore dates to point to. Any help would be
appreciated.

Hi, Dijait. If your computer will work in Safe Mode, then something in
that runs in Regular Mode is preventing it from working there. The
usual things to start with are to 1) scan with current antivirus
("current" means a version not earlier than 2002 but using updated
virus definitions); and 2) remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy
(www.security.kolla.de) and Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com). Be sure to
update these programs before running if you can (even if you have to do
it from another machine). It is a good idea to do virus/spyware scans
in Safe Mode and since that's the only way you can get into Windows,
that will work for you. Also, from Safe Mode, you can go to Start>Run
and type "msconfig" and look at the Startup tab. You can disable
suspicious entries there. You can also look in Event Viewer (from the
Administrative Tools applet in Control Panel) to see if there are any
clues. Once you've determined that your computer is clean, if you still
need help please do repost. Include your system specs and what you've
already done to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks for your reply, I'll keep you posted. Happy
Holidays to you as well.

Thank you for those who responded to this problem. It was
a BHO. As a matter of fact when my Explorer was crashing
the message listed the exact one. TS108.dll I think it
was. I followed both your advice. I down loaded Ad-aware
and ran the program. I had over 300 items listed in my
registry and 7 bho listed when I ran bhodemon. We all need
to be careful.

Thanks
