Hi

I have Vista Ultimate, how do I get explorer to open up nice and tidy,
showing the hard drives and Desktop, not the other 30 things that are in the
view?

thanks

Daniel

Hi,

You're referring to the "favorite links" section? Basically, you can't
eliminate just this section, only the entire navigation bar (under
organize/layout). In addition, the view in that section is not customizable.

My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com

You can remove shortcuts from the Favorite Links, and you can drag the
Folders section up to hide the Favorites Links...

thanks, I'll have a play and see if I can at least get it tidier.

How did they become my favorite links?
How did I get assigned to do Tasks in WinXp.
What bunch of morons MS has.

Rubbish! Everyone has different requirements,
and that is one of them.

Fine! If so, my main requirement is the identical Explorer view that I
had under Win XP. Please tell me ASAP how to get it back in Win Vista
Home Premium.
If it's not possible, I'm considering formatting the drive and
re-installing XP.
