Explorer suddenly takes up lots of memory and won't release

Hello folks...I have the latest version including SP1 of
Explorere.exe but when running a few things on my PC
(Intel 3.2 Extreme Edition, 1 GB RAM) even after fresh
boots, it suddenly builds up over 532K memory in my Task
Manager Window and will not release. This was noticable
after an ATI driver removal and replacement with newest
NVIDIA driver for FeForce FX 5900 Ultra
Any suggestions? Cam't get that memory back unless I
reboot. But I don't see the connect.
Any suggestions?
