When I try to start IE it gives me an error message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience", and sends an error report to microsoft

Error Sigature
AppName:iexpore.exe ModName: winshow.dll ModVer: 1.0.0.
Offset: 0000576

My IE works when i try it trough other apps, such as Quicken, but starting it regularly, keeps giving me this error
I tried a re-install - did not wor

Please Help

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions."

That should allow IE to work. Then Run CWShredder from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html It will remove this
coolwebsearch variant. CWShredder is only about 125 KB so it could be
downloaded from another machine onto a floppy disk if necessary.

Search for and remove other malware with Spybot and Ad-aware and note the
security tips at:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.

I get the same error in IE (encountered a problem - needs to close - send error report) but the Mod Name is wmvcore.dll. Any help you can give me on this one
