Explorer folder views won't stay customized

[PC]

Can't seem to get Explorer to retain my chosen settings for
a folder view (e.g., details, thumbnails, etc.) It just
defaults to detail view no matter what.

I've tried customizing the folder and setting it as a
template, but it only changes the folder for that one view,
and doesn't set-up the same view in sub-folders.

Help?

Hi,

You may download and apply the following edit to increase the folder view
settings to remember the last 8000 folder views:

Increase folder view size limit to 8000 (line 2, left column)
