explorer crashes = unstable

When viewing some cdroms with scratches windows explorer freezes or crashes.

Is there a way to make it more stable? Perhaps using another file manager?
Any good ones
that can crash and not freeze the computer?

I have set the setting that says "launch windows folder in seperate process"

Perhaps there is a tweak or program that can make explorer more stable?

Hope this helps. Let us know.

You asked this before and got some good answers. Unfortunately, none of
them were what you wanted to hear, I guess. Again, the answer is
"probably no". It isn't that the os is unstable; it is that your cd's
are damaged OR if you can successfully read the cd's without a problem
in a different computer your cd-rom drive itself may be failing.
