Explorer Bar keeps popping up

J

JJ

Every time I start IE 6.0 the explorer bar is visible
with some an unwanted search tool. Somehow this program
is now default in my IE and I've tried everything to get
rid off it, but it will not be removed. Even when I go to
view>explorer bar and select something different to be
there as a default the next time I start my machine that
terrible 'Search the Web' is there instead of what I
choose. On top of it there always starts a new IE after
some time browsing on the net which can not be removed
and right clicking it doesn't show anything. When I
ctrlaltdel it all my IE's dissapear. This all is getting
very annoying and I hope somebody else got this problem
too and knows a solution.
I think that I went to some website and automatically
this was installed.

In the explorer bar is a logo visible with the
text 'SEARCH THE WEB, Just type and go! Plus a menu with
the following options:
Top Searches
Shopping Cart

Home Finance

Real Estate

Dedicated Server

Viagra

Live Psychic

Gambling

New Cars

Tarot Reading

People search

Home Loan

Credit

Online Gambling

Data Recovery

Health Insurance

Online Casinos

Can anybody PLEASE help me to get rid off this!?

Thank you for your time.

Mike,

Thanks a lot, but it didn't work for me. The software is
very useful though, so thank you for pointing me in that
direction.
Maybe the problem is a simple Microsoft problem.
When I load IE the Search-button at the toolbar is
highlighted by default. Even when I highlight another
button (example: Favorites) and in View>Explorer Bar
there is nothign highlighted, the next time I start my pc
the search-button is highlighted again. I've tried this
several times with locking and unlicking the toolbar, but
the prob stays the same.
I've also noticed that in Tools>Internet
Options>Advanced>Search from the Address Bar there are 4
options of which I have to choose one. At my office I
have IE 5.0 and there I see the same options, but can
also deselect them. This deselect option is not possible
in my IE 6.0 at home. Does anybody know how to deselect
it?
Thanks for your time.

Regards,

JJ
