Explorer 6.0 Error (?)

N

Nizam Ahmad

I am receiving the following error when I open the Explorer 6.0 on WinXP.

-----------------------------------------------------

Error

A Runtime Error has occurred.

Do you wish to Debug?

Line:5

Error: 'blockedReferrer' is undefined

Yes No

----------------------------------------------------

I have tried several things, such as, disabled the Norton Antivirus program

and the ZoneLab Zone Alarm. But still I get the same error msg. What am

I doing wrong?

How do I get rig of it? Do I need to reset the Internet Options? Please
help.

Hi Nizam,

Disable notification about script errors and disable script debugging from
IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced.

Kind regards

From IE> Tools> Options> Advanced...
Check "Disable script debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about
every script error."

And, possibly, try another HomePage or a blank HomePage.

Hope this helps,
Don

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/scriptdb.htm

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28001169
or
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

Hope this will give you some clues.

From: "Tony Gilbert"
Error: Object Expected - Images won't load
My problem is with I.E. 6 and Norton Internet Security, where some images on
a page load and others don't. All are available if you persist in clicking
"show picture" for each image.
It seems that Patch 4.03 for Norton Internet Security causes images loaded
from another server to be blocked by default - HTTP-REFERRER auto-block -
and must be enabled on a SITE BY SITE basis!!! Surely there is another
solution?
