Explanation of when & how to use ( ) { } : ; , ! etc?

Hi, is there somewhere I can find out in layman’s terms, when and how,
different parenthesis, braces colons, etc, should be used and the reasons for
there usage, within excel formulae. Have done all the usual Google searches.

Help>boolean>about calculation operators will give you a pretty good list.

{ } braces usually denote the enclosed operation is an array.
