explain how to delete this trial program

I wish to delete the trial offer of office 2003.I do not have an office,am
retired,and do not want it.

You don't need to "have an office" or a paying job to use it.

Do you ever write letters?

Microsoft Word is part of Office, and is a very capable word
processing program. It has templates for both personal and business
letters.

Do you ever want to keep track of your finances?

Microsoft Excel is part of Office, and would let you easily build a
very basic checkbook balancing spreadsheet.

That said... if you don't want the software at all, click on Start and
choose "Control Panel". Select "Add and Remove Software". Select
Microsoft Office, and choose the option to uninstall it. It'll be
removed from your computer.
