Re run HJT and put a tick next to the following....

Just to add to what V_R said ... after getting HJT to 'fix' those problems ... pop along to http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and download the LSPFix.EXE and run it to fix the winsock errors.

We will need you to post another HJT log ... :thumb:

i have the proactive defence active on my kaspersky av now and it keeps picking the svchost up, i terminate, but then check in my programme files, and its there again..?

Well it should be there shackout.. :confused: If you could take a screenshot and post it on here, it would be great, not to worry if you can't :thumb:

This is the kind of infection that clones itself. Even if you go into the command prompt, it will hide itself. I had a similar problem with a virus a while back. Remember Mucks, i had the dyfuca.db.2 virus? I think its a similar sort of thing. I don't know if KAV will fix it entirely antivir didn't with mine.

I'm still very :confused:. svchost.exe came up on shackouts log... I don't really understand why ticking the box and selecting to 'fix it' won't do the trick.

Sorry about not understanding properly...
