I'm a project manager for a small software company based in Scotland.
We are currently evaluating technologies for a new web product. One of
the fundamental requirements for this product is that it should be
possible for it to run cross platform.

For this reason I have recently started evaluating the mono project to
see whether this would be a viable option. We are currently in the
process of putting together a proof of concept which should help us to
make a decision, however I am interested to hear if anyone else has any
views on mono.

I use Mono in all my C# developments and, although being a little bit
less mature than .NET, is a great initiative.

Andrew

A lot of the documentation in Mono is missing which doesn't reflect
well on the project. I personally wouldn't trust it for anything but
the simplest cross platform web applications.
