Expanding report fields

I've set some of the text fields in an access report to 'can grow', however,
I'd like to have them grow horozontally. Is this possible?
 
No, it is not other than potentially with some code.
However it is usually best to set the width to the max
allowable where it does not interfere with the page width
and any adjacent text boxes or lablels.
