Expanding cell contents

Newbie trying to see if 40 transcripts of audio recordings can be put into
Excel (or Access) so the content can be globally searched. The text exceeds
32,767 characters for each transcript.

Is there a way to expand the cell limitation and still have global search
functionality?

In Access you can put that information into a Memo field which will hold
65,535 characters and will be fully searchable.
