Expand the favorites menu as default

Rookie question I know, but . . . I want the favorites
menu to open and not have to use the little arrow at the
bottom. I have my monitor set to 1280 x 1024 so I see no
reason for it to happen. My favorites menu is small as I
have broekn things up ito folders to prevent too many
from displaying in the main window.In the main favorites
window I have 11 folders and 11 shortcuts. with lots of
empty space to the bottom of the monitor. The folders
contain many shortcuts and this does not happen in them
only the main window.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable Personalized
Favorites Menu".
