expand limitations to "Credits" in "Custom Animations"

(PowerPoint 2003) in Custom Animations find and choose “Credits†as the
animation. It will only allow about 630 characters (@ 40 font) to scroll up
during animation. Even though the text box will accept any amount of
characters the “Credits†animation option will only play about 630 characters
at a reasonable reading rate. How can I get at least 4 times this amount of
characters, if not unlimited, at the same reasonable reading rate.

I personally ignore the 'credits' animation and instead:
- Create a text box with all of the information desired
- Position text box so the final line is off the top of the slide
- Animate with FLY IN and setting VERY SLOW, FROM BOTTOM
- You can slow down animation even further by typing in specified duration
in the TIMING menu
(Note: this is a simplified approach, but it will get you going and allow
you to figure out fine tuning as you progress. Another approach would be to
use a motion path)
