Execute .exe from within Presentation

I have an exe that I would like to execute from within my presentation while
I'm showing the slide shows. I've tried adding a button but in the
properties, there isn't a place to say OnClick... Is there a way for me to
add this to one of my slides and let it execute either on the click of a
button or when I bring up a new slide?
Thanks,

Sounds like you're adding a button from the Controls toolbar.
That can probably be made to work but instead ...

Add an Autoshape from the drawing toolbar; choose an Action Button and when
the dialog pops up to ask what you want the action to do, choose Run Program
and give the full path to your EXE.

If you need to edit it later, rightclick the button and choose Action Settings.
