.exe files

Somehow while I was trying to figure out what program to associate a file
with to open it, I messed up and associated all of my .exe files with "Word
Perfect." Now all of my programs are trying to open with "Word Perfect." I
tried right clicking and going to properties to change it and it doesn't give
me the option. I also looked for the "open with..." option and it doesn't
show up at all. can someone please tell me how to fix this and i promise I
will NEVER make this mistake again. lol

Create a new blank text document.
Copy and paste the following into it :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"
"IsolatedCommand"="\"%1\" %*"

Save the text document and change extension from .TXT to .REG
Right-click new REG document and select ' Merge '.

Good luck!

Or get Xenomorph Dot Net's XdN Tweaker where you can automatically remove any
incorrect file associations and have them revert to the default association.
