Exchange/Outlook DL's sending to deleted users

Hi all,
I'm not sure how to carry on troubleshooting this issue.

I have a distribution list for our trade department called 'trade' (genius I
know). Recently a couple of people left the company and one person moved to a
new department. I deleted the users that left and removed the guy who moved
departments.

However the users are still being sent the emails. When I run tracking on
the exchange mail server (Version: 6.5.7638.1) I see the mail on the list
being sent - (fine) but then I see it being sent again to the list with the
people who have been deleted.

If I expand the list it just shows the correct list in outlook (2007) I have
tried downloading the address book and deleting the nk2 file but still the
issue persists.

I'm guessing it is a problem with the exchange server configuration?

I hope that makes some sort of sense. Its quite difficult to explain.
Any help appreciated, Thanks.

What do you mean by "tried deleting" the NK2 file. Either you succeeded in
deleteing it or you did not. When you begin typing the DL name, does the
name appear in a pop-up list? If so, select the name with your down arrow
key and then press Delete. Enter at least three characters of the DL name
and press Ctrl-K to resolve the name. That should correct the list in
Outlook's autompletion cache.
