Excessive Processor usage

It seems that a process is grabbing an excessive number
of CPU cycles in my new Thinkpad running XP. It causes
interruptions in the mouse functions as well as audio
sound interruptions. From the Task Manager it seems to
be QCWLICON.EXE. Any suggestions of what that process
does and how to fix the problem.

I never heard of that program, so I did what you should have done, I
entered it into a Google search, which turned up only a few references.

One of those is this:
C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities\QCWLICON.EXE,
which I found on
