Trying to sort Columns A-G: First, Last, Address 1, Address 2, City, State,
ZIP. When I click on Data, Sort, and choose ZIP I get the message: "This
operation requires merged cells to be identicall sized." I DON'T have any
merged cells. How do I "get around" this error message and sort my data?

I bet you do somewhere..awful things

Highlight all cells by clicking the intersection square between the row and
column headers and then select Format>Cells...>Alignment tab. You will
likely see a green square in Merged cells checkbox, not a tick. Click this
twice should un-check it and all should be well
