Excel worksheet tabs in a vertical arrangement on left side.

I would like to see an option in Excel to put worksheet tabs in the left hand
column. With this arrangement one could see more woksheets at one time.

Have a look at this fantastic Add-In:

http://www.contextures.com/xlToolbar01.html

It gives you a toolbar with a drop down list of all your sheets!!
Not exactly what you wanted but a great way around the problem.

Just a quick note for those reading this old thread: now there's a specific add-in that creates a panel with vertical tabs. It's at www.excelnavi.com. I hope this helps.
