Excel worksheet opened twice

I have an large Excel budget worksheet that I am working on. Everytime I
open it, it opens up a budget.xls:1 and a budget.xls:2. I keep trying to
find out what I did to cause this. Any ideas. please email me. thanks.

This happens when you select Window|New Window
Just close the Workbook.xls(2); save the file and all should be well

Having the same workbook open twice can be helpful if you use Window|
Arrange. You can view different parts of the same book side by side.

Just to add to Bernard's response.

I like to click on the window I don't want and hit ctrl-w to close it. (then
save the workbook that way.)
