Excel will not close

User reports his Excel 2000 will not close with either the X box or
File|Exit. He has to run the Task Manager in order to close the program.
Somewhere in my mind I seem to recall this behavior on occasion somehow
having to do with running Groupwise but I can't find any notes on it or
anything on the KB. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA
