excel try to open all desktop items

This strange thing begin to happen suddenly.

When I click to an excel file, Excel tries to open all desktop items
in Excel.

My Details:

Windows 2003 server
Office XP

Open Excel
Tools|Options|General Tab
Do you have any entry in:
At startup, open all files in:

If you do, clear that box.

In Excel, goto Tools ~ Options ~ General and make sure the "At startup..."
field is empty.
